I am a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I work with Bob Mathieu on the chemical evolution of post-mass-transfer systems. I am currently studying how accreted matter interacts with the envelope of blue stragglers and other related objects and how resulting abundance anomalies evolve over time. I use a combination of high-resolution NEID spectroscopy and one-dimensional MESA modeling to explore this question. Prior to this I received a B.S. in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Indiana University, along with a B.A. in Theatre and Drama.

I also have a great love for and extensive experience in science outreach. During the summer I often lead one of many Universe in the Park progams, where a colleague and I will engage the public in the work we do as astronomers and introduce them to the wonders of the night sky. I am also a frequent contributor to Radio Astronomy, a partnership with a local radio station that brings the latest and greatest in astronomy news to the Madison area. Before starting graduate school I spent about two years working as a facilitator at the Museum of Science and Industry in my home town of Chicago, where I led demonstrations in a wide range of science content.

Outside of astronomy I enjoy cooking, cocktail mixing, hiking, biking, music with a particular emphasis on jazz and classical, and terrible dad jokes.
